Auxiliary information: a member of Saratov Opera and Ballet since 1989. The singer’s bright and sonorous voice matched with an impressive acting capacity make his rendition of tragic, romantic, and comic characters equally convincing. The artist appears much in recital presenting classical repertoire in collaboration with the city’s prominent pianists and established chamber ensembles, as well as jazz and light music programmes accompanied by the big concert orchestra «Volga Band» of the local Philharmonic Society or a combo. In 2010, he was awarded a "best male role" nominee Diploma at the Golden Mask Arts Festival in Moscow. A Merited Artist of Russia (the title was awarded in 1996). In 1992, he successfully appeared as Henry Aston in Lucia di Lammermoor and as Dancairo in Carmen in the course of Saratov Opera’s guest performance at the Moscow’s Bolshoi. Since 1994, the singer has been combining his stage activities with voice teaching at Saratov State Conservatoire of Music where he is Voice and Opera Faculty member. Victor Demidov has performed nationwide and toured Germany and France.
