Sergey Boldyrev studied painting at Saratov School of Fine Arts. In 1974, he was appointed Chief Stage Designer of Saratov Light Opera where he released 53 productions of modern and classical repertoire. His stage sets for Dunayevski's
Wind of Freedom
and
Kalmann's Tschardaschkoenigin
won him «best designer» prize at the regional competition «Teatralnaya Vesna».
S.Boldyrev has been working for many theatres throughout Russia, his record exceeding 100 productions including The Merry Widow by Legar in
